Gosh, our kids are funny!

First up, Miss Carley. This week she has learned to roll over. This means the end of the bouncy seat for her....or at least when she's not buckled in! As you can see, she was not happy with being in this position.

Then, we have LL Cool E. THIS, my friends, is why the boy won't hold his own bottle. This is his position of preference when taking his bottle. Doesn't matter if he's in the high chair or being held, he always covers up his eyes. He's been doing this for a long time. I like to think he's telling us, "This formula is so good, I might lose my mind!" Funny little boy.

Now, for our latest Becca funny. If I was a few years younger with less kid experience, I'm sure I'd have been totally mortified by what happened last night. But now, I kinda just think it's funny. We took the Party of Five out to the ol' Western Sizzlin for dinner last night. We'd spent the afternoon on a long walk on the Scull Creek Trail in Fayetteville enjoying the 70 degree weather in January. Since everyone was behaving, we decided to press our luck. We normally like to go to the Western Sizzlin because of the buffet--Becca can get food in front of her immediately and change her mind 100 times about what she wants to eat.
So, last night, Becca wouldn't eat a thing....and wouldn't sit still. This is usually a sign that she needs to go potty; she acts this way at home. Lee took her into the men's room once, only for her to go #1. A few minutes later, I took her into the ladies' room to do her other business. As we came back to our table, she walks by the table of strangers next to us and says loudly, "I just took a BIG poop!" Oh dear. Thank goodness they laughed. I wanted to hide.
There you go, life with a chatty 3-year-old. On the way home, Lee told her that people don't need to know when she poops.

More Christmas Pics

I found some more pictures from Christmas that I guess we never posted.

Of course, Becca helped Pop open his gifts, too.

Kiddo Update

Wow, it's really been almost a month since my last post? I just can't seem to find time to get it done.....here's a quick update. No pictures now, but I will try soon.

Our blogging has been so pitiful that my mom actually sent me an email the other day to ask me what's going on with the kids. She wants to know what kinds of things they are doing, funny things Becca says, etc. Lee's response was this, "Tell her the babies are walking and that Becca's new favorite word is a four-letter 'F' word!" Then, for good measure, we thought we'd let her know that we found Becca behind the house smoking a cigarette last week.

We'll start with Becca:

She is doing really well at school. I talked to her teacher the other day; she's very impressed at how smart she is. Takes after her mother, I'm sure. She is doing great on identifying her letters when she sees them. She is also doing well on knowing her left and right. Becca is a great big sister, and she will tell you that....hahaha. She loves the babies and is a good helper at home. I am ready for warm weather so we can let her outside to burn off some energy. The child NEVER sits still. NEVER EVER. It's exhausting.

Evan and Carley are doing great, too. Lee is putting in their big car seats right now. I can't believe it! But they've outgrown the carriers, which means it's going to be a little more tricky taking them anywhere--we'll be using that stroller a lot more.

* Carley started rolling over last week. Evan hasn't quite gotten the hang of it, but he's trying.

* Evan is still sleeping every night in his swing, which is going to be a problem when he gets a little bigger. However, the little stinker has managed to weasel his way into our bed for the past 5 nights or so, during the middle of the night. I think he's a snuggler.

* They are both enjoying baby food, and neither has any teeth yet. Evan is actually starting to out-eat Carley, which we never expected!

* Carley has started a pitiful little fake cough when she wants attention. Very funny!

* Neither of them like to take turns. We feed them in the high chairs at the same time, taking turns with a bite. Evan cries every time it's Carley's turn for a bite.

We took them all to Walmart last week for the first time. Surprisingly, it went quite well. But we did get a lot of attention, as always, when out in public. Yes, they are twins. No, not identical. Yes, we have our hands full. Yes, we are blessed....yada, yada, yada. If Evan wasn't such a flirt with the ladies, maybe we wouldn't get so much attention? Nobody can resist that big 'ole grin of his. Especially his mama!
